Xi stresses peaceful reunification of China

BEIJING - General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee Xi Jinping said Monday it is the new CPC leadership's duty to continue promoting the peaceful development of mainland-Taiwan ties and the peaceful reunification of the two sides of the Taiwan Straits.
He made the remarks during meeting with visiting Honorary Chairman of the Kuomintang Lien Chan in the Great Hall of the People.
