3 killed in N China house explosion

TAIYUAN - Three people were killed and another four were injured in a house explosion in North China's Shanxi province on Wednesday evening, local authorities said Thursday.
The accident happened at about 5:47 pm at a house in Xinjian Street, Fenyang city, a Fenyang municipal government official said.
Illegal storage of detonators contributed to the explosion, according to initial investigation from the police.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
