Two neighboring buildings caught fire in Nankai district of Tianjin on Monday afternoon.
No injuries have been reported.
Firefighters in the city received a call about the fire at 3:52 pm and dispatched 15 rescue teams and 58 vehicles to the scene.
Firefighters used rescue engines to put out the blaze and remained at the scene until Monday evening.
The two buildings are located in an industrial park. The buildings' developer, Xinmao Science and Technology company, has sold most of the properties in the buildings, a radio station in Tianjin reported on Monday, citing Han Wei, secretary of the company's chairman.
Han said the total loss has not been determined, and the company will issue a notice after checking with insurance companies.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
