The Conghua People's Court in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, has warned consumers of deceits in online sales.
A man surnamed Deng, whose company produces sporst shoes, sold more than 10,000 pairs of fake sport shoes bearing other famous brands names for more than 640,000 yuan ($102,918) at a number of online stores, Guangzhou Daily reported.
A pair of fake Li Ning sports shoes were sold for 80 yuan, much less than the price of the real product.
People employed by Deng wrote positive comments online about his stores to inflate sales and win the trust of consumers.
Deng and his accomplices received sentences ranging from two months to four years in jail.
