Five children drowned in Shanxi reservoir

Five primary school students drowned in an agricultural reservoir on Saturday evening in Shanxi province, the Shanxi Evening Post reported.
The accident happened in Hejin city's Beiwangbao village.
According to the paper, the children were last seen playing near the water at about 6 pm. Two and a half hours later, the five bodies were found in the reservoir.
The paper said that the children drowned accidentally.
On Sunday afternoon, the city held a meeting to morn the children and raise awareness among schools and parents about safety issues.
