Police in Central China are investigating a fire that destroyed 60 hectares of forest, Xinhua News Agency reported.
The blaze started on March 7 at a farm in Songzi, Hubei province. It took 50 firefighters and 200 farm workers 14 hours to extinguish the fire.
No casualties were reported, and no damage was caused to residential property, city authorities said.
Police say the fire was an accident and have asked the city's procuratorate to investigate it, Xinhua added.
