Police in Lanzhou, Gansu province, have smashed a drugs ring, capturing five traffickers and seizing about 32.5 kg of heroin, China News Service reported on Tuesday.
Zhi Jiande, head of the drug enforcement brigade under Lanzhou Public Security Bureau, said it is the largest amount of drugs seized in the province in the past 10 years.
It took police about six months to track down the drug dealers whose activities covered five provinces and municipalities — Yunnan, Sichuan, Chongqing, Qinghai and Gansu.
