China's legislature to begin elections

BEIJING - Chinese leaders of the legislature, state and military are to be elected at a meeting of the annual session of the 12th National People's Congress (NPC) on Thursday morning.
The leaders to be elected include chairman of the 12th NPC Standing Committee, president of the People's Republic of China (PRC) and chairman of the Central Military Commission of the PRC. The vice chairpersons, secretary-general and members of the 12th NPC Standing Committee, and vice president of the PRC will also be elected at the meeting.
