The 11th Peking University Chess and Card Special team started recruiting in Beijing on Wednesday, and five candidates will be chosen.
Candidates who are chosen for the Peking University chess team can get admission to the university with a lower score on the 2013 National College Entrance Examination -- 65 points less than the required minimum score -- and they must sign a contract.
Chess and card special team members will be chosen from excellent senior high school students who are good at playing Chinese chess, international chess, weiqi or bridge.
Female candidates will also be looked at, said the university.
