Air passengers in Beijing may be able to check in for flights at Dongzhimen station, start of the Airport Express line, according to the Beijing Morning Post.
Chen Youjun, head of the subway station, confirmed it is considering making an air check-in service available.
The Airport Express line, which links Dongzhimen station and Beijing Capital International Airport, carries about 32,000 passengers between the airport and downtown areas every day, Chen said.
Building a check-in hall would be a complicated project and the Beijing Subway Operation Company would be responsible for the organization of passengers during the process, he said.
