Premier Li nominates new State Council members

BEIJING - Premier Li Keqiang nominated a list of candidates for members of the State Council at the ongoing national legislative session on Saturday afternoon.
Zhang Gaoli, Liu Yandong, Wang Yang and Ma Kai were nominated as vice premiers.
Yang Jing, Chang Wanquan, Yang Jiechi, Guo Shengkun and Wang Yong were nominated as state councilors. Yang Jing was also nominated as secretary-general of the cabinet.
The following are candidates for cabinet ministers:
-- Wang Yi, nominated to head the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
-- Chang Wanquan, nominated to head the Ministry of National Defense
-- Xu Shaoshi, nominated to head the National Development and Reform Commission
-- Yuan Guiren, nominated to head the Ministry of Education
-- Wan Gang, nominated to head the Ministry of Science and Technology
-- Miao Wei, nominated to head the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology
-- Wang Zhengwei, nominated to head the State Ethnic Affairs Commission
-- Guo Shengkun, nominated to head the Ministry of Public Security
-- Geng Huichang, nominated to head the Ministry of State Security
-- Huang Shuxian, nominated to head the Ministry of Supervision
-- Li Liguo, nominated to head the Ministry of Civil Affairs
-- Wu Aiying, nominated to head the Ministry of Justice
-- Lou Jiwei, nominated to head the Ministry of Finance
-- Yin Weimin, nominated to head the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security
-- Jiang Daming, nominated to head the Ministry of Land and Resources
-- Zhou Shengxian, nominated to head the Ministry of Environmental Protection
-- Jiang Weixin, nominated to head the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development
-- Yang Chuantang, nominated to head the Ministry of Transport
-- Chen Lei, nominated to head the Ministry of Water Resources
-- Han Changfu, nominated to head the Ministry of Agriculture
-- Gao Hucheng, nominated to head the Ministry of Commerce
-- Cai Wu, nominated to head the Ministry of Culture
-- Li Bin, nominated to head the National Health and Family Planning Commission
-- Zhou Xiaochuan, nominated to head the People's Bank of China
-- Liu Jiayi, nominated as auditor general of the National Audit Office.
At the sixth plenary meeting of the first session of the 12th National People's Congress (NPC), NPC deputies will vote on the new lineup of the cabinet.
