Top legislator extends greetings to media staff

BEIJING - Top legislator Zhang Dejiang on Saturday extended greetings to media workers who covered China's most recent legislative session.
Zhang, the newly-elected chairman of the 12th National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee, shook hands and took photos with reporters in the press area of the Great Hall of the People in downtown Beijing.
Zhang praised the journalists for their hard work and encouraged them to make further progress.
The NPC, China's top legislature, concluded its annual session on Sunday.
