Judicial authorities mediated in 2.8 million disputes and stopped more than 24,000 gang fights since February 2012, the Ministry of Justice said on Monday.

Disputes were mainly about medical malpractices, road traffic, labor disagreements and property management, the ministry said in a statement.

China has more than 810,000 mediation organizations, it said.
