Storm kills 9 in Dongguan

A tornado brought a rain and hail storm to some towns in Dongguan, Guangdong province, in the afternoon of March 20, killing nine people by 9:00 am on March 21, according to the provincial emergency management office.
A total of 148 people were injured, including 11 who were seriously injured.
Dongguan's meteorological observatory issued an orange signal warning of hails at 4:11 pm yesterday.
The observatory added that rain and hail storms occur mostly in March and April.
