Debate, the first online-debate program created by v.ifeng.com in China, is celebrating its second anniversary with an event in Beijing on March 28, during which high-profile attendees gave speeches on reform, law, spirit and democracy.
The program was created after v.ifeng.com realized the strength of original initiatives to seek opportunities in the era of fierce competition for video copyrights. V.ifeng.com has used the past two years to visit thinkers and folk activists throughout the country.
This 2013 lecture acts as a platform to reflect on the past two years, and a chance to look to the future. Two groups of individual speakers presented at the lecture — thinkers and activists, each sharing their own stories and experiences.
The first Debate was produced in March 2011. Problems of society are unveiled, and solutions are brainstormed.
