GUIYANG - Five people have died and another person was injured in a road accident in southwest China's Guizhou Province on Friday, local authorities said.
A minibus, with six people on board, from Songtao County of Tongren City plunged 300 meters off a cliff at about 12 a.m., killing five passengers and injuring the driver, firefighters said.
Rescuers have retrieved the bodies of the deceased, and the driver has been sent to hospital for treatment.
An investigation showed that the slippery road, due to heavy rain last night, caused the accident.
