A strategic cooperation and innovation agreement to establish a center for China's western cultural and creative industries was signed recently by Xi'an Jiaotong University and Xi'an Qujiang Film Investment (Group) Co Ltd in Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi province.
According to the university's vice-president Jiang Zhuangde, the center will undertake joint innovation projects in areas such as education and R&D with cultural firms, governmental agencies, overseas partner institutions and other research institutions.
Three projects have already been confirmed, said Guan Zhaoyi, general manager of Xi'an Qujiang Film Investment.
