Du Jiahao appointed acting governor of Hunan

CHANGSHA - Du Jiahao was appointed acting governor of central China's Hunan province on Thursday.
The appointment was made at the first meeting of the 12th Hunan Provincial People's Congress, the local legislative body.
The resignation of former Governor Xu Shousheng was approved on Wednesday.
Du, born in July 1955, has held high-ranking posts in Shanghai and Heilongjiang province.
Du was transferred to Hunan last month as deputy secretary of the Hunan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
