Chen Wu elected Guangxi chairman

NANNING - Chen Wu was elected chairman of South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on Friday.
The election was made at a meeting of the regional people's congress, the local legislative body.
Chen, born in November 1954, is a member of the Zhuang ethnic group. He had previously served as acting chairman of Guangxi and secretary of the Nanning city committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
Chen was also appointed deputy secretary of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Regional Committee of the CPC in March.
