The 2013 China Domestic Tourism Fair opened on Friday in Guiyang, capital of Guizhou province.
More than 1,500 tourism companies from across the country are taking part in the three-day event.
With the theme of "Beautiful China", the fair includes an exhibition of tourist attractions, and a tourism industry investment conference.
It also highlights Guizhou, the event's host, as the country's first province to boost its tourism industry through e-commerce.
The province launched a website "Colorful Guizhou", which allows tourists to make reservations and payments online.
The province's tourism promotion department said Guizhou's tourism products will be on sale at Taobao.com, the largest online shopping site in China.
