HOHHOT - Floods have killed 26 people in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region this month, the region's office of flood control and drought relief said on Tuesday.
Another person has been listed as missing due to the floods.
In July, the autonomous region has been battered by four rounds of downpours, which were bigger than bursts of rain experienced in previous years, according to Inner Mongolia's weather bureau.
Local authorities have been ordered to closely monitor any disasters and provide timely alerts for the public.
