2 die when unfinished overpass collapses

Two workers died at a construction site when an overpass under construction suddenly collapsed on Sunday in Xinxiang, Henan province, Dahe.cn reported.
The two workers were buried when the overpass collapsed at about 10:50 am. One worker was dug out of the rubble at 4:40 pm and died on the way to the hospital. The other was found dead at 6:20 pm, the publicity department of the Xinxiang government confirmed.
The unfinished overpass was the auxiliary project of the renovation of an endangered bridge that was built in 1959.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
