7 killed in E China residential building fire

WENZHOU - Seven people have been confirmed dead in a residential building fire in East China's Zhejiang province on Thursday, local authorities said.
The fire broke out around 1:10 am in a three-story building in Wayao Village in the county-level city of Rui'an, administrated by Wenzhou city, according to sources with the Rui'an city government.
The building held rental housing units. The victims were tenants living in rented rooms in the building, the sources said.
The fire was put out at 1:50 am. An investigation into the cause of the fire is under way.
