A man who held his boss hostage for more than an hour on Thursday afternoon at the office building of Shandong provincial health department in Jinan has been detained by police, China Central Television reported.
The suspect, surnamed Zhang, 24, a worker at an instrument and equipment factory in Qingdao, took his boss, surnamed Jin, hostage at knife-point around 2:30 pm.
