A father's sixth sense gripped Mr. Cao and saved his daughter from being raped, Shanxi Evening News reported on Tuesday.
Cao, a Henan native construction worker in Taiyuan, Shanxi province, said he was struck by a strong sense of anxiety and kept thinking of his 13-year-old daughter left at a dormitory at the construction site on Aug 9.
He went back to the dormitory to find that his daughter was stripped of her clothes by a man who was about to take a further step.
Cao and his fellow workers subdued the sex offender, surnamed Zhang, who was also a contract worker at the construction site. Zhang confessed he had been targeting Cao's daughter, and he didn't expect Cao to come home in the middle of the day.
Zhang is under criminal detention on suspicion of rape.
