NANNING - A landslide has buried at least one truck and trapped an unknown number of people on a highway in Guigang city, in South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on Monday morning, said local authorities.
Local firefighting service received a report at about 7:47 am Monday saying the landslide occurred at a highway section near the Hualei village of the Guiping city, which is under the administration of Guigang.
Firefighters are trying to reach the site.
Landslides were frequently reported in Guangxi and its neighboring Guangdong province due to continuous heavy rains that started last week.
