A sinkhole appeared in a Guangdong province village, after days of torrential rain, Guangzhou Daily reported on Wednesday.

No injuries were reported.

The hole, which is about 8 meters in diameter and more than 6 meters deep, appeared in a field in Xinxia village, Heyuan city. It was about 30 meters away from the nearest farmhouse.

Village residents cordoned off the hole with rope and reported it to authorities.
