Liang Yong'an, deputy chief procurator of Ruicheng, North China's Shanxi province, has been removed from the local disciplinary inspection committee and Party for holding a high-profile wedding for his daughter, Shanxi Daily reported.
The sacked official was exposed by People online for throwing an extravagant wedding banquet over four days for his daughter's marriage during the Mid-autumn festival holiday.
Liang will face punishments by administrative and Party discipline agencies after further investigation.
