President Xi leaves for Indonesia, Malaysia visit, APEC summit

BEIJING - President Xi Jinping left Beijing on Wednesday morning for state visits to Indonesia, Malaysia, and the 21st leaders' meeting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC).

Xi was invited by Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Malaysian Supreme Head of State Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah respectively for state visits.

Xi's entourage includes his wife Peng Liyuan; Wang Huning, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and director of the Policy Research Office of the CPC Central Committee; Li Zhanshu, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee and director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee; and State Councilor Yang Jiechi.

The 21st APEC leaders' meeting is scheduled to be held in Indonesia's Bali.
