Transport authorities in Beijing will issue a map of parking venues in an effort to curb the rise of illegal parking lots in the municipality, Beijing News reported on Wednesday.
In response to reports that unlicensed parking lots are charging parking fees, the Beijing Commission of Transport said a map of the licensed parking lots is being devised by the authority.
The Beijing News reported that some parking lots in the capital's Haidian and Chaoyang districts are expanding their business areas without approval and some unlicensed operators are charging parking fees for what should be free parking areas.
