Educational institutes should be blamed if students are sexually assaulted on their premises, under the latest advice from the country's top court on Thursday.
When students are sexually assaulted at schools and other educational institutes and their parents apply for compensation, courts should support these applications, the Supreme People's Court said.
Sun Jungong, spokesman for the top court, said the advice is aimed at better protecting students and also at strict punishment for sexual attackers.
