Free gas for migrant workers on motorbike festival trip

More than 10,000 migrant workers in Guangdong province will enjoy free gasoline in Sinopec gas stations if they use motorbikes to return home for Spring Festival this year, Guangzhou-based Nanfang Daily reported.
Jiang Yinghui, deputy Party chief of Sinopec Guangdong Branch, said the free gasoline will be available from Jan 23.
"Migrant workers who use motorbikes to go home can now register online for the free gasoline,"Jiang said.
Meanwhile, migrant motorbike riders will receive a gift package which includes biscuits, cake, instant noodles, bottled water, medicine and a raincoat from the gas stations, Jiang added.
According to official statistics, around 400,000 migrant workers are expected to use their motorbikes to go home for family reunions during the holiday which begins on Jan 31.
