Man dies after being taken to police station

A man in Sanya, Hainan province, died after he was taken to a local police station and police said the case is under investigation, people.com reported on Friday.
According to a resident surnamed Liang in the city, his 26-year-old son was knocked down by a policeman on the night of March 25 as the young man rode a motorcycle along a street, and was then taken to the police station.
In the early morning of March 26, the parents received a phone call from one of their relatives saying their son was in a hospital and doctors later told them their son had died after he was taken to the hospital at about 2:55 am on March 26.
The city’s police said the case is under investigation and the cause of the young man's death should wait for confirmation after a forensic autopsy.
