Farmer uses ancient sword as a knife
Government staff in Chengkou county, Chongqing province recently discovered an ancient sword used as a kitchen knife by a local farmer.
The farmer found the sword while plowing a field. The sharp end and the hilt were missing. Beyond the rusty blade were three written characters. He then polished the sword and used it as a knife.
According to government staff, the three characters are "Qing Long Jian" (Green Dragon Sword), and it was probably made in the Qing Dynasty (1644 to 1912 ).
