9 killed, 5 injured in Central China apartment fire

ZHENGZHOU - At least 9 people were killed, another five were injured in a fire Thursday in Central China's Henan province, local authorities said.
The fire broke out at 2: 50 am from the electricity meter box on the first floor of an apartment building in Xiguanhutun Community in Zhengzhou City, police said.
The fire was put out and the injured were taken to hospital.
Further investigation is underway.
