Memorial
To honour China's first Premier and his wife Deng Yingchao, Tianjin has dedicated a memorial for the couple.
Deng, a co-founder and once the youngest member of the Awakening Society, committed herself to China's national liberation at an early age.
As a 15-year-old girl, Deng initiated the Tianjin Women's Patriotic Comrade Association. She took an active part in Tianjin's student movement by organizing speech groups to promote patriotic ideologies.
