Longest wood carving breaks Guinness record

A large wood carving featuring the famous historical painting "Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival" was named the longest wood carving in the world by Guinness World Book of Records on Nov 14, 2013. The woodcarving is 12.286 meters long, 3.075 meters high and 2.401 meters wide, and was created by Zheng Chunhui, a craft master from Fujian province. He spent 4 years on the piece, using different engraving techniques. The Song Dynasty version of the painting and the Qing Dynasty version are engraved on both sides of the 1000-year-old camphor wood .
