Song Ge's solo show features strong influence of folk art

Her current exhibition, titled Another Passageway, at Xi Yu Art Space in Zhengzhou, Henan province where she was born, shows dozen paintings featuring vibrant colors and illusive scenes. Viewers can see obvious influences of Chinese folk art and Japanese ukiyo-e painting style.

In her paintings, Song presents the beauty of imperfection and hails death which she sees as the start of a life cycle.
The exhibition runs through Sept 8.
