The opening ceremony was filled with music and stunning shows. A couple of famous Chinese artists gave their best performances.

Kunqu Opera actors Liu Jing and Wang Zhenyi blessed the attendees with two episodes from The Peony Pavilion, namely Wandering in the Garden and An Amazing Dream. Pipa (Chinese flute) player Wu Yuxia performed Rivalry Between Chu and Han. National A-list actor Shen Xiangyang gave a yangqin (Chinese dulcimer) solo General's Mandate. Wu Lin gave a konghou (ancient Chinese harp) solo Along the River During the Qingming Festival. Singers performed folk songs from both countries such as The Jasmine Flower and Kalinka. All performances won rounds of applause from the audience.

The exhibition consists of three segments. The Time And Legend segment features photos, historical records and virtual reality technology to demonstrate Tang and Shakespeare's backgrounds, experiences and attainments. The Dream And Reality segment showcases Tang's representative works via visualization, multimedia and VR technologies. This segment also covers Kunqu Opera's costumes and props. The I @ Tang Xianzu segment is about books and VR experiences related to Tang and Qunqu Opera.

The exhibition will run until October 23 at the China Cultural Center. Afterwards it will tour Moscow and other Russian cities.
