The report also showed that the Internet brings new trends to the traditional movie industry, such as democratization of film production, film distribution without intermediaries, mobility in film marketing, diversification of film consumption, and convenience for the purchase of film derivatives.
Meanwhile, Internet users play a more important role in film production, especially in the initial step of financing, content creation, and the choice of the production team. Crowdfunding and crowdsourcing may become the norm in film production in the future.
