"Those people who buy train tickets for standing room generally have an urgent need to reach their destinations. Therefore, the carrier should sell them tickets that are more expensive than those for seats because they can do nothing about it."
Wang Zhi'an, an anchor with China Central Television, responded on his micro blog to an online discussion that train tickets for standing room should be sold at half the price of ordinary tickets. He was accused of being "unconscientious" by some netizens.
