Sales of offshore duty-free products in Hainan since the South China's tropical island province adopted the offshore duty-free policy in May 2011 has hit 4.2 billion yuan ($675 million) by the end of February, according to Jiang Dingzhi, Hainan governor. Jiang released the statistics when he delivered a report on Tuesday to deputies at the National People's Congress meeting in Beijing, adding that the daily average sales is 6.2 million yuan.
