Photo: China on Tuesday issued stamps to mark the 50th anniversary of chairman Mao Zedong's call to "learn from Lei Feng", the country's most famous good Samaritan. Other products to mark the anniversary include commemorative envelopes and comic books. Lei, a young Chinese soldier in the 1960s, is known for devoting his spare time and money to help the needy. March 5 is designated "Lei Feng Day."
Bilingual: Psychologists at the University of Stirling in Scotland have discovered that good-looking people were perceived as funnier when people listening to them could see what they looked like. Researchers have found that men, in particular, use humor as a mating signal, to show off their intelligence and good genes to women.
