"The Tourism Law is urgently needed to protect the legal interests of travelers and tourism companies. The problems of vicious competition, forced purchases and fake ads have not only harmed tourists' legal interests, but also influenced the image of China's tourism and affected the development of the tourism industry."
Vice-Premier Wang Yang said on Thursday at a conference on the implementation of the Tourism Law, which will take effect on Oct 1.
