The number of applicants expected to take this year's national college entrance examination, down from 9.15 million in 2012, according to a spokeswoman for the Ministry of Education on Wednesday. Xu Mei said examination venues across 31 provinces and regions have been equipped with video monitoring facilities to prevent cheating and test fraud. The exam will be held on Friday and Saturday.
