The central government will cut its expenditures this year by 5 percent, the Ministry of Finance announced on Sunday, in a move to further live up to the new leadership's promise to be frugal, improve work style and reduce red tape. The expenditures will be saved from office buildings construction, public-funded vehicles purchases, receptions and overseas trips.
