The number of Japanese tourists visiting Beijing from January to July this year was 53.7 percent less than for the same period last year, dropping to 136,000 visitors, according to figures from the Beijing statistics bureau on Sunday. The bureau's figures show a 14.7 percent drop in foreign tourists year-on-year.
