Part of the reason selfies have become so popular is because social media networks have made it easier than ever for users to post and share their vanity shots. Camera makers and cell phone anufactures are also beefi ng up their gadgets into more powerful selfi e snappers to cater to the new selfi e-generation. In recent months, a series of selfi e-oriented gadgets, smart phones and cameras have been launched to entice new consumers.
1. Lenovo VIBE Xtension
Price: about 180 yuan ($29), to be launched in April
Lenovo sets out to solve the problem of dim lighting that often plagues selfies. Almost the size of a key fob, its VIBE Xtension flash can provide extra lighting support so you can capture the perfect selfie. It can be plugged into the audio jack of a smartphone, just like a traditional camera flash. After you press its rear button to turn it on, you have three seconds to pose until the device's camera shutter goes off. What you end up with is a brighter, better selfie. The fl ash is made up of a ring of 8 LED bulbs. This creates a di used light effect that covers one meter radius range. On a single charge, the flash can illuminate up to one hundred selfies.
