Global experience

Providing the right environment for children to thrive is more than simply having the facilities to cater for them. Wallace explains, "As part of the Nord Anglia Education family of 31 schools across 13 countries, we are in the enviable position of being able to provide students with a truly global education experience. Our students at BISS Pudong are active participants in the Nord Anglia Education Global Classroom which links students and teachers around the globe in challenging activities across a range of disciplines, including debates, the arts, sciences and mathematics. What's more, we have a whole global community of highly trained and dedicated teachers who support the students every step of the way."

The latest development in this global experience is the Global Orchestra which will give talented music students from Nord Anglia Education schools around the world the opportunity to participate in a truly global orchestra which will gather for the first time in July this year in New York.

Manchester United Soccer School @ BISS

Manchester United Soccer Schools are coming to Shanghai to host summer training camps at the two campuses of The British International School Shanghai.

Principal at BISS Pudong, Lesley-Ann Wallace, says, "We are thrilled that Manchester United Soccer Schools have chosen to host their first Shanghai summer training camp at BISS Pudong. We are proud of the football we provide for the students and always eager to give them further opportunities to build their skills. Having access to this sort of high quality training designed by some of the best coaches in the world is something that will stay with the children who attend, forever."

It is the first time the soccer school has been to Shanghai, providing exciting opportunities for young football players aged 6 to 18 years to "learn to play the United way".

Camp dates are:

27th - 29th June @ BISS Puxi 1st – 3rd July @ BISS Pudong

The 3-day camps will give young football enthusiasts, boys and girls:

• 21 hours of coaching designed by Manchester United’s first team coaches

• 5 coaches from Manchester United Soccer Schools in England

• A Manchester United kit for each player
