Located conveniently between the third Embassy area and the Wangjing district in Beijing's unofficial "Korean Town", Hotel Jen Upper East Beijing has long been known for its Korean touch and annual Korean Food Festival.

This year, the hotel will highlight a wide range of Korean delicacies and Korean folk decorations at Café Noir until Nov 15.

The event is supported by the Korean Cultural Center, China. Woo Young Sun, senior chef at the Korean Cultural Center, will be the festival's guest chef, with another two chefs, to present new-style Korean bites, such as Korean fried chicken, grilled beef, green bean pie and acorn jelly.

Guest will also get to taste the country's signature beverages, including rice wine provided by sponsor Lotte Liquor.

The festival's grand opening ceremony kicked off on Monday, with traditional Korean performances from Korea's celebrated Aemi Arts Group, and a large-scale kimchi cooking class attended by more than 100 guests.

During the festival, the Korean Cultural Center will display Korean folk decorations and photos in the hotel lobby and the restaurant.

The Korean-themed buffet is priced at 148 yuan ($23) for lunch and 198 yuan for dinner. Prices are subjected to a 15 percent surcharge.
